Face-Face Visits: The Office of Human Services, Inc. Area Agency on Aging is slowly resuming in person visits. Staff will be wearing masks, social distancing, and utilizing good hand hygiene when entering older adults homes. Staff is screened daily for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and we may also do a brief screening for any COVID-19 in the seniors home prior to doing an in person visit. Older adults may refuse in person visits if there are concerns related to exposure to COVID-19.
The Pennsylvania Department of Aging has launched an online COVID-19 resource guide to help older adults easily find useful information related to their health, safety, and well-being. For more info click the link below:
Social Security has reported that their telephone lines have been inundated with calls regarding the Economic Impact Payments for Social Security and Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries.
